Deposition

This exhibition is set within the wonderful architecture of Christ’s College Chapel, with Caro’s ‘Deposition’ for company. Curated by Pablo de Gandia and Natalia de Orellana, it looks to pull the various threds of spirituality in de Freston’s work together. With evensong precedding the private view, the sheer intimate power of the Chapels interior and the impact of Caro’s sculpture; this it will be a unique opportunity to see de Freston’s work engage and resonate with new surroundings.

A Brief History of History Painting

This exhibition, curated by Dusanka Marsenic and Rob Luck, does not look to tie de Freston’s work down to a singular creative vision or painterly type. Instead it embraces diversity, with a firm belief that the works will strike up conversations between themselves, which will be more insightful and accurate than any imposed synopsis.
